Ordination of Rev. Deacon. John Mary Vianney Ssempungu

Greetings. Uganda Christian Community in South Africa are honored and blessed once again for the ordination of a new Catholic Priest, Rev. Deacon John Mary Vianney Ssempungu.



Rev. Deacon John Mary Vianney ssempungu is the third born in a family of 7 children, at the moment, they are five surviving children. His father is John Mary Luwemba who is 92 years and his mother has passed on.



He comes from Ggomba District, Bukalagi parish Kiyinda Mityana Diocese.

He joined religious life in 1983 in the Congregation of Brothers of St. Charles Lwanga Kiteredde Kyotera. In 1996, he joined seminary formation at St. Mbaaga Gaba Kampala, where he completed 7yrs.

In 2017 he came to south Africa to join Bloemfontein Archdiocese as a Diocesan student.



In July 2019, he was Ordained as a Deacon, and now, on *10th October 2020*, he will be Ordained as a Catholic Priest to work in Bloemfontein Archdiocese.



He is so grateful to God for all the protection both spiritually and corporeal which He has embraced him with.





He thanks all those whose hands he has gone through, more especially his father, his late mother, relatives, formators, benefactors and benefactresses.

He prays to the Almighty God to reward them abundantly. Amen.
