ELECTRONIC VISA SYSTEM OFFICIALLY FLAGGED OFF
The High Commission today officialy flaged off the operation of the Electronic Visa System in the presence of the Senior Management Officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Delegation was led by the Permanent Secretary Dr. Benon Mutambi, Mr. Wanzira Ssasaga Director Citizenship, Mr. Namara Anthony Commissioner Immigration, Mr. Nicholas Ongodia Commissioner Passport Control, Ms. Proscovia Babirye Assistant Commissioner Human Resource.
The Electronic Visas and Permit application system was implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and eventually rolled out to the various Embassies and High Commissions abroad to improve on the effectiveness of the Issueance of Visas and Entry Permits.
All persons intending to Travel to Uganda are required to process their requests for respective Entry Visas or Pemits via the online system accessible from the link

The Commissioner Immigration Mr. Namara Anthony emphasized that this Electronic system effectively replaced the manual system of Issueance of Visas and Permits and is more efficient with applications resolved in a much shorter period.
Dr. Benon Mutambi the Permanent Secretary was pleased to note that the High Commission has rolled out this electronic visa and permit application system and pledged the Ministry of Internal Affairs will continue to offer technical assistance where necessary.
The High Commissioner Barbara Nekesa Oundo , in response remarked that the Mission is indeed committed to ensuring that this system will effectively serve and meet the needs of all persons intending to travel to Uganda in a timely and efficient manner offering unrivalled Services making the visit to the Pearl of Africa a memorable one.
