OUTSTANDING UGANDANS HONORED IN SOUTH AFRICA IN STARQT AWARD CEREMONY 4 / 11 / 2017 JOHANNESBURG.

In honour of the numerous achievements in various sectors of small scale business, entrepreneurship, innovation to mention but a few, The outstanding Ugandans within the Ugandan Community were honoured at the 4th Annual Starqt Award Ceremony.

This Award Ceremony is a platform of recoginzing and rewarding competent and effective hard work displayed by a number of Ugandans who are meaningfully engaged in businesses and income generating ventures in the Republic of South Africa.

The Function was largely attended by a significant number of Ugandan Nationals living in South Africa. The High Commission was represented by the Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Kivuna Julius who conveyed a message of good will & gratitude on behalf of the H.E Barbara Nekesa Oundo remarking that such efforts are greatly appreciated and recognised by the Government of the Republic of Uganda.

Mr. Kivuna also stressed the need for the Ugandan Diaspora to not only invest in South Africa but also invest the same way back home in Uganda to benefit the Economy and achieve the Middle Income Status level for Development. He presented Awards in the category of Best Ugandan Entrepreneur ,to mention but a few
